Specification

What goes into custom rash guards

A rash guard is worn skin-tight for grappling and no-gi training, so it has to stretch, recover and stay in place without riding up. We make them long or short sleeve in spandex and polyester blends, sublimated edge to edge, so the design is dyed into the fabric and cannot crack or peel. Fabric, cut, seams, colours and branding are agreed with you, and you approve a sample before bulk.

Choosing and using

Getting custom rash guards right

Sublimated edge to edge

Almost every rash guard is sublimated: the design is printed on transfer paper and heat-pressed into the polyester, so a full-colour pattern runs across the chest, back and sleeves and over the seams without cracking, peeling or stiffening the fabric. It stretches with the fabric, which is what a rash guard needs.

Your colours are matched from a colour reference on your mockup, then checked on the real fabric when you approve the sample.

Questions

Questions about custom rash guards

8 answers buyers ask for most. Choose one to open it.

Still have a question?

Ask it the way you would ask a coach. A person replies within one working day.

Long sleeve or short sleeve rash guards?
Long sleeve suits no-gi BJJ, grappling and wrestling, where the arms are covered; short sleeve suits MMA and striking. Each is its own product with its own minimum, and both can share one design.
Can the design run across the seams?
Yes. Rash guards are sublimated, so the design is dyed into the fabric and runs across the chest, back, sleeves and seams. Its position and alignment are checked on your sample.
How are rash guards sized?
From XS to 2XL, measured flat: 40 to 50 cm across the chest and 58 to 68 cm in body length on our standard pattern. A size chart is agreed for your order and every size is measured against it before dispatch.
Can the rash guards match our shorts and spats?
Yes. One colour reference is used across the order, so rash guards, fight shorts and spats read as one kit. Each product has its own minimum. BJJ rash guards and spats, matched to your gis
What do the mockup and sample cost?
Mockups are free, with as many changes as you need. The physical sample is priced on its specification and customisation, so its price depends on what you choose, and it is in your quote before we make it. The sample reaches you in 7–10 days, and when you go ahead with bulk, half of the sample price is credited against your bulk order. If the sample needs changes, the revised sample and its price are agreed with you before we make it. If a change is needed because we made a mistake, the revised sample is free.
Can you make rash guards under our own brand?
Yes. Your logo, printed labels and packaging are part of the specification, and your artwork, mockups and approved specification stay yours. We never sell your design or make it for anyone else.
Will a reorder match the first batch?
Your approved sample stays in our workshop for at least two years after your last order and your specification is stored digitally, so a reorder doesn't need a new sample: it goes straight to production, from 25 per design. Your dispatch date is confirmed in writing when you place it. How reorders work
How long does an order take?
Production starts when you approve your sample, and bulk typically takes 3–5 weeks from approval, plus courier transit. Your exact dispatch date is confirmed in writing with your quote.
