The Sialkot factory floor from above: rows of machinists at sewing machines beside blue crates of boxing gloves and head guards, cutting tables in the middle and racking of cartons and foam along the far wall.

Factory tour

Inside our Sialkot boxing glove and fight gear factory.

Walk the floor in the order your products move through it, from the development desk to the courier at the door. Every stage, from pattern to packing, is done in our own workshop.

  • Every stage in one workshop
  • Three branding methods in-house
  • Checked against your approved sample
  • Shipped by courier to the UK and Europe

The floor

Seven stations, from the development studio to dispatch.

Every product crosses the floor in this order, whether it is a boxing glove, a lifting belt or a rashguard.

  1. A developer at a CAD workstation: a 3D model of a black and red boxing glove on one screen, its pattern pieces graded into nested sizes on the other, colourway mockups on a tablet and a plotter printing patterns behind.Development

    The development studio

Your brief becomes a specification here. The product is drawn in CAD, its patterns made digitally and graded across your size range, and the tech pack written, or built to yours: measurements, materials, artwork placement and the bill of materials.

    • CAD patterns, graded digitally
    • Tech pack written or worked to
    • Mockup prepared
  2. A storeman unrolling a black leather hide on a table beside a swatch card, in front of racking stacked with black, tan and red hides, rolls of PU leather and fabric, webbing spools and padding foam.Materials

    The materials store

Genuine cowhide and buffalo leather, PU, Rexine and microfibre leather, pearl and gold weave cotton for gis, neoprene, spandex, Lycra and polyester blends, and padding foam. The material for your order is confirmed against your specification before anything is cut.

    • Genuine, PU and microfibre leather
    • Technical fabrics and neoprene
    • Checked against your specification
  3. An operator lowering the arm of a hydraulic swing-arm press over a steel glove-panel die on black leather, stacks of die-cut red and black panels beside it, a beam press cutting red leather behind and a CNC cutting table working through nested panels at the back.Cutting

Die presses, CNC and laser cutting

Leather and synthetic sheet are die-cut on hydraulic swing-arm and beam presses for fast, repeatable panels, and the graded patterns are plotted and cut by CNC and laser straight from the digital file, for every size from kids' to adult.

    • Hydraulic swing-arm and beam presses
    • CNC and laser cutting
    • Every size, kids' to adult
  4. An operator peeling the carrier film off the Sparwright logo heat-pressed onto a black boxing glove, printed logo transfers and a roll of printed labels on the bench, a screen printer pulling the logo onto T-shirts behind and a sublimation printer feeding out a red and grey print at the back.Branding

    Printing and branding

Your logo goes on here, by the method agreed on your mockup: sublimation for full-colour designs and linings, DTF and heat transfer for detailed multi-colour logos and care labels, or screen print for bulk logos on cotton and bags. None of it is sent out.

    • Three methods, all in-house
    • Labels printed here too
    • Placement from your mockup
  5. A machinist stitching the cuff of a black and red boxing glove on an industrial sewing machine while the next worker fits a padding block into a head guard, crates of head guards along the line.Stitching

    Stitching and assembly

Walking-foot machines stitch through thick leather and heavy padding on gloves, guards and belts; lockstitch and overlock machines set the seams and edges on apparel; and a bar-tack machine reinforces the stress points, from belt loops to glove thumbs. Everything is built to the construction you approved on the sample.

    • Walking-foot for leather and padding
    • Lockstitch and overlock for apparel
    • Bar-tacked stress points
  6. An inspector weighing a black and red boxing glove on a digital scale beside a ticked checklist and the tagged approved sample, while a second inspector checks a head guard under a task lamp.Inspection

    Quality inspection

The finished order is checked against your approved sample, which stays in our sample room for reorders: dimensions and weight, materials and construction, branding and colour, labels and sizing. Each check is recorded, and the order is held if anything does not match.

    • Six recorded checks
    • Held if anything does not match
  7. A packer placing polybagged black and red boxing gloves into an export carton beside shipping labels, while labelled cartons are loaded into a courier van at the open dispatch door.Dispatch

    Packing and dispatch

The order is counted, packed and labelled to your instruction, its cartons marked, and handed to an international courier with its export documents, tracked to your door.

    • Packed to your instruction
    • Shipped by courier, tracked

Questions

The factory: common questions

What buyers ask about where and how their order is made.

Where is your factory?
In Sialkot, Pakistan. Every stage, from the development desk to packing, is done in our own workshop there, rather than sourced from elsewhere and relabelled.
Is any part of the work outsourced?
No. Development, cutting, branding, stitching, inspection and packing all happen on our floor, including all three branding methods and the printed labels.
What machines are on the floor?
CAD pattern software and a wide-format plotter; hydraulic swing-arm and beam presses for die-cutting, and CNC and laser cutters; walking-foot, lockstitch, overlock and bar-tack sewing machines; a sublimation printer and heat press, DTF and heat-transfer machines, and a screen-printing setup.
Why is Sialkot known for boxing gloves and fight gear?
Sialkot has made leather sports goods, boxing gloves and fight gear for generations, so the skills, materials and suppliers a glove needs are close at hand.
Can we see our own order being made?
The final approval of every order is recorded with photographs or an inspection record, which can be shared on request. If you want to see a particular stage of your order, ask.
