What goes into custom BJJ rash guards and spats

Custom BJJ rash guards and spats are your academy's no-gi kit: a rash guard and compression leggings in the same colours and logo as your gis. Both are cut close in spandex and polyester blends so they stretch, recover and stay in place through a roll, and both are sublimated, so the design is dyed into the fabric and cannot crack or peel. Fabric, cut, colours and branding are agreed with you, and you approve a sample before bulk.

Choosing and using

Getting custom BJJ rash guards and spats right

Matched to your gis, ranked by belt

Rash guards and spats are specified from the gis you already wear, in the same colours, logo and placement, so a no-gi class reads as the same academy as the gi class.

For a ranked set, one design is printed in each belt colour, to the IBJJF no-gi colour rule: a black, white, or black and white base with at least 10% of the belt colour. The set counts as one design, 50 pieces across it, with at least 10 per belt.

Questions

Questions about custom BJJ rash guards and spats

11 answers buyers ask for most. Choose one to open it.

Still have a question?

Ask it the way you would ask a coach. A person replies within one working day.

Can the rash guards and spats match our gis?
Yes. They are specified from your gis, in the same colours, logo and placement, from one colour reference checked on the sample. They can be made in the same order as the gis and belts, or added later.
Do you make ranked rash guards?
Yes. One design printed in each belt colour, white, blue, purple, brown and black, counted as one design: 50 pieces across the set, with at least 10 in each belt colour.
Are your ranked rash guards IBJJF legal?
They are designed to the IBJJF no-gi colour rule: a black, white, or black and white base with at least 10% of the belt colour, or entirely in the belt colour, long enough to reach the shorts' waistband. The rule is checked against the current IBJJF uniform page when your design is drawn, and the IBJJF does not approve kit itself.
Is the minimum shared between rash guards and spats?
No. They can be ordered together, but each is its own product with its own pattern, so each needs its own minimum of 50 pieces per design, split across sizes in any mix. Long and short sleeve rash guards are also separate products.
How are BJJ rash guards and spats branded?
They are sublimated: the design is printed on transfer paper and heat-pressed into the polyester, so it stretches with the fabric and runs across the seams without cracking or peeling. Your logo can go on the chest, back, sleeve or spats leg. Sublimation, DTF or screen print
How are rash guards and spats sized?
Measured flat against a size chart agreed for your order, with your split across the sizes confirmed before bulk. Each size is checked against the chart on the sample and again before packing. The rash guard size chart
Do you make rash guards for MMA and grappling clubs too?
Yes. This page covers no-gi kit matched to an academy's gis. Rash guards for MMA gyms, grappling clubs and fightwear brands, matched to fight shorts and gloves instead, are on their own page. Custom rash guards for clubs
What do the mockup and sample cost?
Mockups are free, with as many changes as you need. The physical sample is priced on its specification and customisation, so its price depends on what you choose, and it is in your quote before we make it. The sample reaches you in 7–10 days, and when you go ahead with bulk, half of the sample price is credited against your bulk order. If the sample needs changes, the revised sample and its price are agreed with you before we make it. If a change is needed because we made a mistake, the revised sample is free.
Can you make BJJ rash guards and spats under our own brand?
Yes. Your logo, printed labels and packaging are part of the specification, and your artwork, mockups and approved specification stay yours. We never sell your design or make it for anyone else.
Will a reorder match the first batch?
Your approved sample stays in our workshop for at least two years after your last order and your specification is stored digitally, so a reorder doesn't need a new sample: it goes straight to production, from 25 per design. Your dispatch date is confirmed in writing when you place it. How reorders work
How long does an order take?
Production starts when you approve your sample, and bulk typically takes 3–5 weeks from approval, plus courier transit. Your exact dispatch date is confirmed in writing with your quote.
