Specification

What goes into custom lever belts

A lever belt closes with a flat steel lever instead of a prong, so it fastens to the same tightness every time and opens in one movement between sets. That consistency is why heavy lifters and powerlifters choose them. We make them 4 in (10 cm) wide in genuine cowhide or buffalo leather, 10 or 13 mm thick, to your specification, leather, colours, stitching, lever and logo, and you approve a sample belt before bulk.

Choosing and using

Getting custom lever belts right

10 mm or 13 mm?

A 10 mm belt is more flexible and easier to break in, so it suits general strength training and most gym members. A 13 mm belt is stiffer and gives more support under heavy loads, so it is popular for powerlifting.

If you sell to both groups, a gym or a brand can order both thicknesses in the same design, each confirmed on its own sample.

Questions

Questions about custom lever belts

9 answers buyers ask for most. Choose one to open it.

Still have a question?

Ask it the way you would ask a coach. A person replies within one working day.

Lever belt or prong belt?
A lever belt closes to the same tightness every time and opens in one movement, which is why heavy lifters and powerlifters prefer it. A prong belt is adjusted hole by hole each time. We make both, in the same leathers, thicknesses and sizes. Custom prong lifting belts
Should I choose 10 mm or 13 mm leather?
10 mm belts are more flexible and easier to break in, so they suit general strength training. 13 mm belts are stiffer and give more support, so they are popular for heavy powerlifting. The thickness is confirmed on your sample.
Are your lever belts legal for powerlifting competitions?
They are made to the IPF's limits for belts: up to 10 cm wide and 13 mm thick. Federations set their own rules and some approve specific belts, so lifters should check their federation before competing. We do not claim approval for any federation.
How are lever belts sized?
By waist, measured at the navel: S 28–32 in, M 32–36 in, L 36–40 in and XL 40–44 in. One order can be split across sizes in any mix. The lifting belt size chart
Where does our logo go on a lever belt?
On the back panel, where it shows in training and on social media, or on the front of the belt. Placement and size are shown on your free mockup and confirmed on the sample.
What do the mockup and sample cost?
Mockups are free, with as many changes as you need. The physical sample is priced on its specification and customisation, so its price depends on what you choose, and it is in your quote before we make it. The sample reaches you in 7–10 days, and when you go ahead with bulk, half of the sample price is credited against your bulk order. If the sample needs changes, the revised sample and its price are agreed with you before we make it. If a change is needed because we made a mistake, the revised sample is free.
Can you make lever belts under our own brand?
Yes. Your logo, printed labels and packaging are part of the specification, and your artwork, mockups and approved specification stay yours. We never sell your design or make it for anyone else.
Will a reorder match the first batch?
Your approved sample stays in our workshop for at least two years after your last order and your specification is stored digitally, so a reorder doesn't need a new sample: it goes straight to production, from 25 per design. Your dispatch date is confirmed in writing when you place it. How reorders work
How long does an order take?
Production starts when you approve your sample, and bulk typically takes 4–6 weeks from approval, plus courier transit. Your exact dispatch date is confirmed in writing with your quote.
